The Nelson Ships' Decanter

Nelson Ships Decanter

The Nelson ship decanter, named after Admiral Lord Nelson, the iconic British naval officer of the 18th century, has its roots in the early sailing ships of the navy. This particular decanter shape was designed to ensure stability at sea, with a wide base that allowed it to stand securely on the table even in stormy weather.
The Nelson Ships' Decanter is a tribute to Admiral Lord Nelson, a fearless naval genius and patriot who won numerous victories, including the Battle of Trafalgar. A copy of his signature adorns the bottom of each of these decanters, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale will go to maritime charities, including the Society of Friends of the Royal Naval Museum in Portsmouth, England.

Interestingly, HMS VICTORY, Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar, is now moored in Portsmouth Harbour and is open to the public. A visit to this historic ship offers a unique opportunity to experience maritime history at first hand and honour the importance of Admiral Lord Nelson's legacy.
